Having your own newspaper is a cost effective and surprisingly inexpensive way of reaching your local community. What is more, our years of experience in the field mean that the level of expertise and amount of work required are kept to an absolute minimum.
What is involved?
There are a number of clearly defined stages and we will guide you through each of them.
Planning:
- • Calculate quantity of papers to be printed
- • agree the number of pages
- • how many will be in colour
- • set copy deadline, print and distribution dates.
We will then supply you with a rough page plan and schedule.
Compilation:
Collection of articles and photographs. This task can be allocated to one individual or an editorial committee. In either case, we can offer guidance and share the best practices that have been adopted by other schools.
Design/Layout:
Once all the copy has been received (on or before deadline!), we will create the artwork and send you a copy for approval. Amendments and corrections will be made and a final proof will be issued for ‘sign off’.
Print/distribution:
The agreed number of copies will be printed and delivered to the specified location.
Billing:
Once the finished copies have been delivered to you, we will issue an invoice for processing. Our payment terms are 30 days nett.
